As Textile Designers it’s important to translate relationship between the 2D and 3D. Being aware of how pattern changes when observed on the body or interior fabrics for curtains/sofa. This could take my creative practice to another level.

Winifed Aldrich > Showing the effects of different fabrics on form. Look at designers exploring how fabric can take on a life of its own. Iris Van Herpen and Issey Misayke. Miyake could directly influence my own concept, specifically concentrating on individual shapes. Look at Resort 2016.
Vinyl could be used to high effect in creating 3D pattern from a 2D material. What does pattern and form do when amalgamated? Explore through my print samples for 1st Rotation.
Could I print onto fabric and fill spaces with shapes to inform illusion and pattern? Look at the relationship of scale to the object it is destined for. Look toward the importance of scale.
